Privacy policy

Last updated 12 October 2026

The short version

  • Your check-ins, reflections and assessment answers are private to your account.
  • We don't sell your information, and we never use it for advertising.
  • We never see or store your card details.
  • You can ask us to delete everything, at any time.

What we collect

Everything here is either something you typed, something you chose, or what's needed to run your account.

  • Your account: your email address, and your name if you provide one. If you sign up with Google we receive your email address and name from Google.
  • Your daily check-ins: the numbers you pick for mood, anxiety, sleep and energy, any physical symptoms you select, and anything you write in the notes.
  • Your exercises: which modules you've started or completed, and any reflections or thought records you save inside them.
  • Your assessments: your answers to the PHQ-9 and GAD-7 questionnaires and the scores they add up to.
  • Your subscription: whether it's active, when it started, and the email address used at checkout.

What we don't collect

Some things this kind of app could collect, and this one doesn't.

  • Your card or bank details. Payment is handled entirely by Base44 Payments; we only receive confirmation that a payment succeeded.
  • Advertising identifiers, and any third-party tracking or analytics scripts. There are none in this app.
  • Your location, contacts, photos, or microphone.
  • Your address, date of birth or phone number — we don't ask for them.

How we use it

Your information is used to run the program for you, and for nothing else.

  • To show you your dashboard, your check-in history and your mood charts.
  • To remember where you are in the program and pick up where you left off.
  • To put your assessment scores side by side, so you can see whether things are changing.
  • To keep your subscription working and to send you account emails — verification codes, password resets and payment receipts.
  • To keep the service secure and working.

Who can see it

Your entries are visible only to you. They are tied to your account, and there is no coach, therapist or group who can read them. We do not review what you write.

We use a small number of service providers to run the app, and they process data on our behalf:

  • Base44 — hosting, database, sign-in and file storage.
  • Base44 Payments (Wix) — payment checkout and subscription billing.
  • Google Fonts — the typefaces used on the page.
  • We will only ever disclose your information otherwise if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Your check-ins, reflections and assessments are kept for as long as your account exists, so that your history stays complete.

If you ask us to delete your data, we remove it — normally within 30 days. Payment records are kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require, with the health-related content removed.

Your choices

You are in control of everything you've put in.

  • Ask for a copy of your data, in a readable format.
  • Ask us to delete your account and everything in it.
  • Cancel your subscription at any time from the Account page. Cancelling stops future billing and does not delete what you've written.
  • Change your password, or sign out of your account at any time.

Keeping it safe

Your data travels encrypted, and access is restricted by account-level rules so that one person's entries are never returned to another.

No system is perfect. If you ever believe your account has been accessed by someone else, change your password and tell us straight away.

Children

ASHmod is written for adults and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly hold information from anyone under 18; if you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we'll remove it.

This is not medical care

ASHmod is a self-help educational tool. It supports but does not replace care from a qualified professional, and it does not diagnose or treat any condition.

If you are in crisis, please use the crisis support page rather than waiting for a reply from us.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, tell you by email.
